Ettl Law
In 1939, Joseph G. Ettl opened a law office in South Bend, Indiana. His practice was interrupted by World War II. After serving in the Army, Mr. Ettl returned to South Bend to resume his practice in 1945. In the early 1960's, Joseph Ettl organized Ettl & Ettl, Attorneys at Law, with his wife, Madeline Ettl. Their son, Frederick B. Ettl, joined them in the Ettl Law Firm. Their son Frederick, known as "Fritz," carries on the family tradition. Fritz Ettl received his Baccalaureate degree in history from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana. As an undergraduate, Fritz studied at the Universidad de la Javeriana, la Universidad de los Andes and Centro Estudios Universiterios Colombo-Americano (CEUCA) in Bogotá, Colombia. He has traveled extensively in South America, Spain and Mexico and he reads, writes and speaks Spanish fluently. He graduated from Indiana University Law School, Indianapolis, where Fritz distinguished himself as a member of the Moot Court Board. While a law student, Fritz Ettl worked for the Indiana Department of Revenue, where he was the Supervisor of Individual Income Tax.
Mr. Ettl is admitted to practice in all Indiana Courts. He has also appeared in courts in Texas, Illinois and Michigan. Mr. Ettl is certified by the Indiana Supreme Court as a Civil Mediator and as a Domestic Relations Mediator.
