Statement of Use

What does Statement of Use mean?

A Statement of Use is the form submitted by an applicant for the registration of a trademark after receiving a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The Statement of Use is for trademarks filed originally under the Intent to Use designation.

The applicant must submit the Statement of Use to the Patent and Trademark Office within six months of receiving the Notice of Allowance, along with the required application fee. If the applicant does not submit the Statement of Use within the allotted timeframe, the Patent and Trademark Office will consider the application abandoned.
